Meditation is a journey to find our True Self. "Who am I?" "What is my
True Self?" Through this questioning about yourself, you can find your
True Self and reach the englightenment. Enlightenment means to see the
true nature of your mind. If you are truly enlightened, you can abtain
true happiness. There is no suffering any more. Everyday life flows
in harmony with the truth. You will live in bliss every day. You can
find the true meaning of life and taste true happiness through this
meditation. Every 3rd Saturday of each month, we have our monthly
one-day retreat here at New York Chogyesa. These retreats are a great
way to take some time off from our busy daily lives and look within.
If you would like to attend, please register by Friday noon. If you
need to cancel your registration, please let us know by Friday
noon.The retreat starts at 9:00 a.m. and runs until 3:00 p.m. The
schedule includes chanting, sitting, and walking meditation in Central
Park. Beginners, or those who have never sat a retreat before, are
welcome but should plan to arrive by 8:45 a.m. for a brief
orientation. The suggested donation is $30, which includes a simple
vegetarian lunch. We encourage you to make a donation for food

1-hour energizing yoga session followed by sitting meditation. So
