The S. F. Coast Walk - Ferry Building to the Zoo

• What we'll do Hugo will lead this tough fast paced free walk along 15 miles of spectacular natural scenery. Bring a sack lunch, a water bottle, good hiking shoes, and a hat or Sun screen. We meet in front of the outside stairs in front of the clock tower of the S. F. FERRY BUILDING AT 10:00 AM. Right now we have set a limit of 120 "Yes" RSVPs.There are restrooms inside the S. F. Ferry Building on the 1st & 2nd floors. Howard will be at the start to take roll and then follow in the back to assist slow walkers for the 1st hour. It is best to bring or buy a Clipper Card if you don't have one. The adult cash fare on the Muni buses is $2.75 and for seniors (65+), youth, and disabled it is $1.35. With a Clipper Card you don't have to worry about change and the cost is less! Anyone can leave the walk at any time without penalty. After our half-hour lunch break at the half way point, Battery Godfrey, all who wish to leave early can walk back to the G. G. Bridge to the free Presidigo buses back to our starting point. When taking that bus one must transfer to another Presidigo bus at the Presidio Transit Center. This will be a no history and all health walk. Restrooms will be at: (1.) inside the Sala Burton Building at Aquatic Park; (2.) at Baker Beach; (3) Lands End Lookout Visitor Center If you arrive late and want to catch us go to our 1st restroom stop inside the Sala Burton Building, the big white building, near Aquatic Park where we expect to be between 11:15 & 11:30 AM. After lunch it goes to Baker Beach, Sea Cliff, along Lands End trail to the Sutro Bath ruins. Then it goes along Ocean Beach to the Zoo and ends there at 5:30 PM. Get a Clipper Card now if you don't have one. You won't have to fumble for change on getting on Bay Area buses and many ferries. Also, you will save money. It is used on many Bay Area transportation systems.
