Are you a 1:1 Crisis para or a paraprofessional that works with
children that exhibit challenging behaviors? In this one-day workshop
we will examine how learning about the brain can help us to understand
our students' behavior better and how we can become more effective at
both preventing and de-escalating challenging behaviors at school. We
will cover data collection to support FBA/BIP development; executive
functioning; trauma and its effects on learning and behavior; calming
exercises you can teach your students; self-care to help relieve your
own stress.
This workshop can be a great follow-up to “Paraprofessionals:
Crucial Members of the Classroom Team” or a standalone day.
