America Meditates event is designed to raise awareness about mental health and, along with the preceding Summit, launch a campaign to create culture of wellness, mental fitness, and peace.

Your presence can make a difference. Meditating with an estimated 20,000 people, we’ll generate a shift in consciousness and accelerate the movement towards a culture of mental wellbeing and peace.

America Meditates will be host to an incredible lineup and presence, ranging from interfaith leaders, to international hip-hop artists and musicians. They will be joining together with the intention of sharing a message of peace and working towards a happier and healthier society.

Event Highlights:

HUMANITARIAN MEDITATION FOR PEACE
Sri Sri will guide the audience through a unique and powerful meditation, where you can experience the depths of calmness, and discover a whole new level of peace and wellbeing. You will carry this sense of deep inner peace with you, making a positive impact on your community and environment.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the founder of The Art of Living Foundation, is a world-renowned humanitarian, spiritual leader and meditation teacher, as well as a peace ambassador. Sri Sri's vision of a violence-free, stress-free society has expressed itself in numerous service initiatives that have inspired volunteers worldwide to carry out great humanitarian projects with his guidance.

NATIVE AMERICAN HEALING CEREMONY
Jonathon WolfWalker Starr, Native American spiritual teacher will lead a native American healing ceremony for the community and the nation on the night of the large scale meditation event. WolfWalker was recently highlighted in the Emmy nominated film "Almost Sunrise". A film about two veterans who trek across the United States in search of inner peace.

MC YOGI
From living in a group home for at-risk youth to becoming one of the most beloved yoga teachers in the world, hiphop artist MC YOGI is on a mission to introduce yoga to large, mainstream audiences. His latest album, RITUAL MYSTICAL (feat East Forest), made history by going #1 on the Electronic charts — Aug. 2016. In 2015, his ONLY LOVE IS REAL album debuted #12 Billboard Heatseekers + #24 iTunes Hiphop — featuring guest performances from Matisyahu, Trevor Hall, and Dominic Balli.  In 2011, MC YOGI and his wife Amanda were named ambassadors by Michelle Obama for her “Lets Move” initiative and have taught yoga at the White House five times since. Additionally, they have performed and taught yoga at Stanford University, The Smithsonian, San Francisco Asian Art Museum, and Dallas Asian Art Museum.

'SO WHAT'  PROJECT
Emerged with the objective to expand the purifying & high energetic potential of mantras nurturing with their sounds and colors. Yoga Rave is a unique party, free from alcohol and drugs where the body only responds to the stimuli from the music, yoga and meditation.

Along with food trucks and live art, there will also be activities for the whole family:  face painting, henna, hair braiding, etc
