HONORING

Dr. Thomas F. Schutte
BAC Chairman of the Board and President of Pratt Institute

Futura
Legendary Brooklyn-Based Graffiti Artist and Commercial Designer

Alloy Development
Award-Winning Brooklyn-Based Architecture and Development Firm

For over 50 years, BAC has been a pillar of Brooklyn’s arts and culture scene, presenting arts experiences to hundreds of thousands of people across our borough and providing assistance to artists and culture groups. We're thrilled to invite you to Alive with Art, our annual benefit, where we'll celebrate BAC’s history and influence on Brooklyn’s cultural landscape and the many ways in which our programs enrich our neighborhoods, grow our economy, and create experiences that expand horizons.

This year, we’re proud to honor three community members: Dr. Thomas F. Schutte, Chairman of our Board and President of Pratt Institute, whose tremendous leadership has changed the face of Brooklyn and who is currently celebrating 24 years with Pratt Institute and 19 years of service on BAC's Board; legendary graffiti artist and commercial designer Futura, whose work continues to influence the way we experience art and life in our borough; and Alloy Development, an award-winning Brooklyn-based architectural and development company whose projects include SPARK by Brooklyn Children’s Museum (the Museum’s DUMBO annex) and The 2,000 Gallon Project, an initiative which brought trees and plants to the streets of Gowanus.

Alive with Art will take place from 6:30 – 9:30pm on Thursday, May 18th at The William Vale in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, followed by an after party from 9:30-11:30pm. Please join us for a memorable evening of food, cocktails, friends, and great conversation!
