The Albert Celebrates Mother’s Day with a Special Brunch
Event ended

The Albert, located at 228 E Ontario, is honoring all mothers with a special brunch on Sunday, May 13. In celebration of the day, Hotel EMC2’s contemporary restaurant will be extending its brunch menu from 11:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will be offering special amenities for all mothers in attendance. With specialtybrunch cocktails and featured menu items, this Streeterville restaurant is taking Mother’sDay brunch to a whole new level in the Windy City.
The Albert’s brunch menu features food options like the Piri Piri Chicken Sandwich, made with pickles and aioli on brioche, Eggs Benedict Duck Confit, complete with béarnaise and sofrito, a Lyonaise Salad, served with frisee, croutons, and bacon lardon vinaigrette, and the Slagel Farms Cheeseburger, topped with cheddar, pickles, and special sauce and served with fries. In addition to these regular brunch items, therestaurant will be serving specialty items such as Deviled Eggs and a Spring Vegetable Quiche for this special day.
Several unique cocktails are also available during brunch hours, including the Albert’s spin on the Mimosa, made with orange liqueur and sparkling wine, an Irish Coffee, created with caffe amaro, whiskey, and mint whipped cream, a Lost and Found, served with smoked rum, bitters, and honey. For Mother’s Day, the restaurant will be offering a specialty Chi-Town Daisy cocktail, made with CH Vodka, elderflower liqueur, and lemon.
Designed by the renowned Rockwell Group (the interior design firm for Hotel EMC2), the Albert is a playground for continuous discovery and a feast for the senses, unlike anywhere else in thecity. Elegantly suspended 19 feet above the copper and enamel-clad bar, a custom chandelier-like structure comprised of large glass cylinders – known as “the infusary” – is a focal point of therestaurant. The inventive, playful structure houses everything from infused liquors, bitters and spirits, all while serving as the ultimate conversation starter among guests perched at the bar.

More than 12,000 carefully selected science novels line the walls of the airy, double-height space, rivalling a nearby wall adorned with glistening, vintage copper pots and another 12-foot wall covered with artworks of all mediums (sketches, watercolors and oil paintings). Additionally, a 20-seat chef’s table sits inside the large expo kitchen, allowing curious foodies to witness a culinary canvas firsthand. A long, curved banquette set in front of a Surrealist mural by local cartoon artist Jonathan Plotkin creates another unique seating option for guests.
The Albert is located on the ground floor of Hotel EMC2 at 228 E. Ontario Street, and serves lunch and dinner daily.
