“The Empowerment Project” is a CSE intervention curriculum. It consists of 4 workbooks with 5 chapters in each workbook. The curriculum is based on the Stages of Change model where the earlier workbooks are focused on helping youth edit exploitation while the later workbooks are focused on adjusting to life outside of the commercial sex industry. Throughout the workbooks, youth will hear from CSE survivors and what they learned on their journey. The two-day facilitator training will teach participants how to facilitate the curriculum with youth and young adults. CSEC 101 and 102 are prerequisites
This training is made possible through Title IV-E funding in collaboration with Chabot-Las Positas Community College District and Alameda County Social Services Agency. Alameda County providers will be given first preference due to the funding source. The cost of the training is FREE. But there is an administrative fee of $30.00 charged for those who wish to earn Continuing Education credits. The CE payment due on site via check only; credit cards and cash are not accepted.
A light breakfast will be provided. Lunch on your own.
