How can I become a better Muslim? 

This winter semester, we’re going to cover many ahadith to discuss the character of Muslims. These  ahadith will be referenced from Riyad-as-Saliheen, from Kitab-ul-Adab (The book of manners).

The series is not just for any Muslim, but geared specificially for Muslim college students. The average student that comes to this college most likely commutes and has a lot going on throughout the day, in addition to classes. And with every activity and interaction, there has to be some form of adab or manner behind it.

How do we interact with our teachers and classmates? How can we maintain our prayer with classes, work, and finals? How can we recognize forms of arrogance and hypocrisy within ourselves? How do I know if I’m really sincere? What do I do when I come across people of bad character?

What can I do to become better? That’s all I want. I don’t want to be a scholar or a speaker. I just want to be a better person. I just want to be someone Allah loves. How do I do that?

Join us in this series to learn more, inshaAllah. It’ll be very informal and laid back. We just wanna get together and learn more about who we are. And of course, we’ll have snacks and refreshments inshaAllah!
