The 27th annual festival includes a poetry anthology, featured poets from around the nation and world, assigned readings by registered poets, open mics, workshops, musical interludes, venues around the city, public access to most events, and a program for K-12 students.
AIPF is the country's largest non-juried poetry festival; poets, regardless of fame or shame, may read and perform throughout the 4 days of festivities. Fees to submit to the anthology and attend the festival are very reasonable, events open to the public are free of charge, and all programs for kids are free.
