Aikido classes allow children to train together in a physical discipline that is not based around competition. When practicing Aikido, children take turns applying a technique to each other and then receiving a technique. In this way, children work together to understand how each technique works.
This type of training allows each child to progress at his or her own pace in a supportive environment that emphasizes growth and cooperation. Children gain a greater awareness of themselves and their actions, leading to improved self-confidence and better understanding of responsibility.
