About Face Theatre and Art AIDS America proudly present a staged reading of Paul Rudnick's JEFFREY, the second in our "AIDS on Stage" series at Alphawood Gallery. Admission is FREE, doors open at 6pm, and the event begins at 7. SEATING IS LIMITED, so please reserve above.

This Obie Award-winning play by Paul Rudnick laughs in defiance at the fear around the AIDS crisis. Jeffrey’s exploits take him across New York City, from hoedown charity galas to the confessional of a church, but he faces his biggest challenge yet when he falls in love.

Directed by Andrew Volkoff with a cast that includes John Keating, Aaron C. Holland, Aubrey McGrath, Paul Fagen, Breon Jackson, Scott Duff, Sawyer Smith and Anne Sheridan Smith.

"AIDS on Stage" is a series of readings presented by About Face Theatre and the groundbreaking Art AIDS America exhibition. Four readings from HIV/AIDS focused plays provide a chronological, retrospective look at how theatre artists have addressed the devastating health crisis throughout the decades. The readings will take place every Monday in March at 7PM at Alphawood Gallery on the corner of Fullerton and Halsted. Doors open at 6pm to provide attendees an opportunity to experience the exhibit as well.

AIDS ON STAGE is supported in part through the generous sponsorship of Steamworks Chicago.
