Adult Literacy Volunteer Tutor Training

Literacy Council of Benton County needs your help!  We will train you to be a certified volunteer tutor and in a little under four hours (2 hrs. of on-line courses and 2 hrs. with our Certified Tutor Trainer) you will have the tools and materials necessary to give an adult the gift of literacy.  The majority of our students are learning English as a second language and are from many different countries.  Only English is spoken in class; you do not need to know a second language to tutor, nor do you need a college degree.
