Are you an adult and have always wanted to get up close and personal with equines? This is a class geared toward beginning horse enthusiasts. This is a one day class for adults. These sessions are dedicated to learning the basics of horsemanship. You will get to ride, but most importantly, safety, grooming, and horse terminology will be introduced.
A detailed schedule of the day will be sent out to the attendees prior to the event. There is a minimum of 2 participants needed to hold the class. There is a maximum of 5 participants for this class. Participants can weigh no more than 150 pounds since we are using a large pony for this class.
Class is held March 29 from 3pm-5pm. If inclement weather, we will reschedule. Registration closed March 10, or when full.

A little about our instructors... Ms. Lipovsky is the owner of Hogback Mountain Pony Rides. She has been around horses her whole life. Ms. Lipovsky grew up on Hogback Mountain Road. She has a masters degree in education. Ms. Lipovsky is first aid and cpr certified.
My name is Tahoe Kauffman, I'm a high school senior and will be attending Virginia Tech as a wildlife conservation major in the fall. I've been working at Hogback mountain pony rides for almost 3 years, and have been riding horses for 11 years.
