There are 45,000 - 65,000 homeless children and youth identified by the Chicago Homeless Coalition throughout Chicago and the suburbs. The challenge of getting an education- even enrolling in school- daunts students of all ages despite strong federal and state laws and policies guaranteeing their enrollment and access to school. This workshop will offer a comprehensive array of information about homelessness and how to identify, enroll and assist homeless students and their families. Please bring a laptop or tablet to this Academy.

Presenter: Priscilla Bradley, Tom Bookler, and Matt Hanafee

Academy Number: 1050
