Artist Statement:
Legal Addictions are characterized by smoking, caffeine, alcohol consumption, eating, working, and even video games.  They are addictions our society faces that may not be apparent because of their legality.  The purpose of this project is to engage the community in being mindful of their addictions and to determine how to create a healthy balance in their lives.
Adam
Spaeth is a St. Cloud artist that specializes in community art.  As a former medical professional working as an EMT, he experienced how legal addictions can cause affliction in his community.  He explains that we have the world’s best emergency medicine, but the worst preventive care.
“Legal Addictions” is a city-wide exhibit.  Many of
Adam
Spaeth’s paintings are also on display at the following locations:  St. Cloud Library, St. Cloud Hospital, YMCA, White Horse Restaurant, Cream City Tattoo, and E-Cig Lounge
