Acting 101 - Alexandria, VA 2021

---Instructor: Rachel Ames---In this class students will learn all the basics of Stage Acting. We will explore different topics each week such as Improv, character building, theatre lingo, projection and diction, memorization, movement on stage, getting into character, theatre games, and more! Each student will work on a monologue of their choosing. This gives students the opportunity to take what weve learned and apply it to a piece of material. At the end of our time together the students will put their new found knowledge to the test by performing their monologues for the class. The monologues will be recorded individually and provided to parents at the end of the session. COVID-19 safety precautions will be adhered to, including the wearing of masks and social distancing.
