Starts January 23rd in Yarmouth (Thursdays, from 10am to 1pm for 6 weeks)
This series explores basic acrylic painting techniques for all levels of experience. Color mixing and theory, layering, composition, and other fundamentals combined with content such as objects, flowers, landscape, natural forms from shells to fruits and vegetables (real, borrowed, or imagined), and other subjects. Styles and approaches depend on an artist's interest and preferences. Weekly, artists will work two 16x20 inch canvases simultaneously from observation, photo, and printed references, and imagination. Contemporary and past artists act as kindred spirits, authentic to or challenging personal expression, inquiry, or development.
Supplies: Please wait for first class, or email instructor to discuss. Be prepared to purchase half a dozen colors, two Round No. 12 brushes short handle, other brushes you enjoy, palette or palette paper, and two 16x20 inch canvases per week. You can purchase a 20-pack (Details TBA).
