Accessing Clinical Data for Research
with i2b2
(Informatics for Integrating Biology and the Bedside)

You MUST REGISTER to participate in this training.

i2b2 is a self-directed, web-based "drag & drop" query/analysis tool perfect
for translational research. i2b2 provides access to de-identified
clinical data from the UAB IMPACT electronic health record
without additional IRB approval.

Any UAB researcher or investigator with a Blazer ID
can request access to i2b2

i2b2 is a tool that can help investigators:
- determine study feasibility
- identify potential participants for recruitment
- perform simple data analyses of de-identified patient data
- explore hypotheses for clinical studies/trials

Join us for a hands-on training with i2b2 to explore UAB's electronic health record data for your research data needs!

We strongly recommend attendees request i2b2 access by Friday before the training.
Follow the instructions here:
https://www.uab.edu/ccts/research-commons/informatics/i2b2
Please log in to i2b2 prior to attending the class and go through the request/validation process so you can access i2b2 during class.

Co-sponsored by
the UAB Informatics Institute and
the Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS)

Due to popular demand, we must limit attendance
to 1 event per person at this time. All events are identical in content.

Please contact the CCTS (ccts@uab.edu or 934-7442) with any questions.
