One of the finest period-instrument orchestras in the world, the Academy performs Bach's grand and graceful Orchestral Suites, directed from the harpsichord by Richard Egarr. With more than 300 CDs and a Grammy to its credit, the ensemble delivers Bach's lively Baroque dances with all the energy, vibrancy, and artistry for which it has long been revered. "They shone a powerful light on the many moods of Bach's Orchestral Suites, as, it seems, Bach himself would have heard them" (Bachtrack).
