9-Week Ballet Workshop with Former NY City Ballet & Bejart Ballerina

Join us for the opportunity to learn ballet from Aesha Ash, featured in the New York City Ballet Workout II, Barbie Nutcracker and principal dance double for Zoe Saldana in the movie CENTER STAGE!

Take your ballet skills to the next level with former New York City Ballet and Bejart Ballerina, Aesha Ash! Here's your chance to train with a professional ballerina who is not only technical but also approachable and nurturing. She excels at breaking down the details to demystify the process of performing correct ballet technique. Whether you need to reach the next level in your training, or are simply interested in having fun in a dance class, Aesha will help you gain technical improvement and performance artistry.

9-WEEK WORKSHOP FOR TEENS & ADULTS: Thursday, 6/1/17 to 7/27/17
WORKSHOP SCHEDULE:
I. Beg./Int. Ballet (teen/adult), 10:30 am-11:30 am This class is designed for dancers with a good grasp of barre and center work. Students will continue to build their foundation for dance and expand their dance vocabulary. Some knowledge of pirouettes will be assumed. Jump combinations will become more complex.

II. Intro to Ballet (teen/adult), 11:30 am-12:30 pm A ballet class for the true beginner! Learn the basics of ballet in a warm, friendly and welcoming environment. Never feel out of place and all questions are welcomed. Attire: Ballet attire not required, just make sure you have comfortable clothing and socks or ballet shoes for your feet.

FEE: $126 for each workshop + $25 registration fee for new students; $18 for 1 drop in. Drop ins welcome! Fee is included in the unlimited plan. **Teachers from studios with 4 or more registered participants can take the class with no cost. Dancers who refer 4 friends can train for Free!

ABOUT AESHA ASH: Aesha has been a professional ballet dancer for 13 years. After attending the premier School of American Ballet, Aesha danced with the New York City Ballet for eight years in both soloist and principle roles. Expanding her success to include Europe, she performed as soloist with the legendary Bejart Ballet of Lausanne, Switzerland.
In 2005 she also joined Alonzo King's Lines Ballet. After years of growth and training, Aesha took her talents freelance and began working with Morphoses (founded by Christopher Wheeldon.) Aesha has been featured in such publications as Dance Magazine, Point Magazine, Bazaar, Marie Claire, the New York Times and the San Francisco Chronicle.
