4th Annual ND Mini Camp

Bastyr’s ND Camp gives students a taste of life as a naturopathic medical student with classes, demos, student life activities and even a chance to stay on campus.
Lead by Faculty
Campers will have the opportunity to learn from and interact with several distinguished faculty from Bastyr's School of Naturopathic Medicine.
Hands on Experience
Feel what it's truly like to be a naturopathic medicine student. Participants will learn about anatomy, physiology, pathology, diagnosis and the different therapies used by naturopathic doctors.
Discover the Pacific Northwest
Visit Seattle during what some would call our most beautiful season! Explore both the metropolitan city of Seattle and the nature of St. Edward State Park, where Bastyr’s Kenmore campus is nestled.
Applicable Curriculum
This five-day program will follow the major themes of the naturopathic medicine curriculum including wellness, disease and diagnosis, tools for restoring health and wellness, and patient care.
Scholarship Opportunity
Individuals who attend our Mini-ND Camp and later go on to enroll as full-time students at Bastyr will receive an incoming student scholarship of no less than $1,000.
Stay on Campus
Campers engage in hands-on learning at Bastyr's campus, near Seattle, Washington. Check out our interactive labs and explore over 40 acres of forest surrounding you. Housing is provided to overnight campers.

What is ND Mini Camp?
ND Mini Camp is an immersive look into naturopathic medicine. In the program we explore the modalities and principles of naturopathic medicine, and give a taste to the experience of going through Bastyr’s ND program. Each day is designed to mimic the curriculum covered in the corresponding year of Bastyr’s ND program, from an introduction to naturopathic medicine to clinical education and research.
Who can participate in ND Mini Camp?
Anyone who is interested in pursuing a career in naturopathic medicine is welcome to register. Participants must be 18+ years of age.
Do I have to stay on campus?
No. You may choose from two options – overnight or day camp. Day camper registration does not include a room on campus. There are many hotel, Airbnb, and other housing options located nearby.
How do I get to campus from the airport?
Seattle has many public transportation options, including buses, trains, the Link Light Rail, and rideshare services. Find more information about getting to campus here. A shuttle will be provided on the last day of camp that returns to the airport. The shuttle will arrive around 2:00pm to Sea-Tac airport.
What amenities are provided for overnight campers?
Stay on campus in our LEED Platinum Certified Student Villages. These buildings are designed to encourage interaction among students, fit into the campus's natural landscape, and minimize impacts to the local environment. Each building contains 12 furnished rooms and shared kitchen and laundry spaces. Rooms includes an extra-long single bed, a desk, and a private bathroom. ADA accommodations are available. Campers will be provided towels and linens. Please bring your own toiletries.
Are meals provided?
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided for overnight guests, beginning with dinner on August 2 and ending with lunch on August 7. Lunch and dinner will be provided to day campers. Additional food may be purchased from our Dining Commons, open M-SU 8:00am-2:00pm.
The award winning Dining Commons offers a fantastic salad bar option, creative hot meals and fresh baked goods. It also uses fresh ingredients harvested from the University's celebrated organic herb and vegetable garden. The Dining Commons offers an innovative and affordably priced menu. It serves a broad selection of items that appeal to every taste and dietary restriction including delicious gluten free, vegetarian and vegan meals*. Meals are served buffet style. All ingredients for each dish are listed right at the buffet line for your convenience.
*Allergies and intolerances: we are not a certified/designated gluten (or any) free facility and cannot guarantee the complete absence of specific ingredients. All of our food is made in a gluten-friendly kitchen, prepared and cooked using shared equipment and is not recommended for those with celiac disease or gluten allergies.
What time is checkout for overnight campers?
Overnight room checkout on Friday, August 7 is at 9:00am sharp. If you need us to store your luggage on Friday after check out, before you depart campus we will be happy to do so.
