Spring has sprung!
Join us Earth Day week by reconnecting with the land and planting vegetable seedlings in the field(s) at Chatfield Farms.
At this extension of Denver Botanic Gardens, growers cultivate six acres of mixed vegetables for their Community Food Share while also operating weekly, affordable farm stands at both Denver Human Services and City of Denver locations. At these farm stands, Chatfield Farms hosts cooking demos, nutrition classes (courtesy of Cooking Matters), and Double Up Food Bucks Colorado which gives SNAP customers twice the buying power to purchase fruits and vegetables. Spending time on a farm in the springtime air is a wonderful way to start your weekend and replenish your soul. Sustainably grown coffee will be served hot and spots this year are limited!
For this event, we will meet at the Earl J. Sinnamon Visitor Center and walk to the field(s).

Please visit
UpRoot's website or our Facebook page to learn more about how we work to measurably reduce on-farm surplus agriculture in Colorado, support the economic stability of farmers, and increase the nutritional security of our state’s residents.

Much obliged!
