*This is a competition, please expect some down time between stages
*Description:
The "3Gun FunShoot" is an informal, unofficial, slightly modified 3 gun competition.
Participants shoot pistol, rifle and shotgun from different stations on paper, clay plates, bowling pins & steel targets, drawing from a holster, from a sling, moving and reloading from cover and against a timer.
Bring your race gun or any safe semi-auto pistol, revolver, semi-auto rifle (NY compliant), pump or semi-auto shotgun in the calibers allowed, stage configuration changes monthly.
*Requirements:
-Caliber Allowed:
-Pistol: .380, 9mm, 38spl, *357sig, 40mm and 45acp (no magnum rounds or muzzle velocity above 1,500 ft/ps)
-Rifle: 223 or 308
-Shotgun: Birdshot or slugs
-Ammo Count: No “Ammo Factor" on this event
-Pistol: +/-200 rounds
-Rifle: 100
-Shotgun: 75
-Ammo Capacity: 3 semi-auto magazines (10 rounds max each) or 3 revolver speedloaders, shotgun full
-Pistol Holster: Strong side OWB, IWB or AIWB and must cover the trigger guard
-Long Guns: Any sling
-Gunbelt: Stiff gunbelt that properly fits your holster is highly recommended
-Eye and Ear Protection: Is a must! A wraparound eye and electronic ear protection are highly recommended
-Hat w/ Brim: Highly recommended for additional eye protection
*Restrictions: No Exceptions! The safety of everyone is our # 1 priority!
-Pistol Holster: "No Serpa" style (look it up) or soft materials will be allowed. If you need your fingers to holster your gun, it's too soft.
-We Run a Cold Range: If you arrive w/ a loaded firearm, keep it holstered or in the gun bag. Do not remove your firearm from a holster or gun bag, even if unloaded in the "designated safety area". We’ll call you to the firing line to get your firearm ready for the event.
*Weather: Check the weather and dress accordingly, we shoot outdoors. You'll be notified of a cancellation due to weather conditions prior to the event.
*Food and Beverages: Soda/water are available at the range for purchase, bring your own food or snacks
*NYC Residents: No "premises license" allowed on this range. If you have questions regarding your pistol license, please contact NYPD licensing division prior to registering for this class to ensure your participation.
*Refunds/Credits: A refund will be granted, minus any processing fees (if applicable), for requests made 24hrs prior to the date of the class or if class is cancelled by Nicys Ltd due to weather conditions. If you miss the class and did not inform Nicys 24hrs prior to the date of class, only a credit will be issued. In order to get your credit, you must contact Nicys and apply the credit towards the next class or event within 6 months of the original date. No credits or refunds will be granted afterwards.
