2021 Mix and Mingle to Benefit Meals on Wheels of NEPA

Meals on Wheels of NEPA is pleased to announce that we will host the 2021 Mix and Mingle for Meals on Wheels of NEPA on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm at Glen Oak Country Club in Clarks Summit, PA. This will be an exclusive indoor/outdoor COVID-friendly event (rain or shine), with LIMITED ticket sales. Mix and Mingle features gourmet cocktails, light dinner fare, silent art auction, gift pull and jazz music by the Mark Montella Trio. The funds raised by this signature event directly support community programming initiatives that have a meaningful, and often life-saving, impact on clients across Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Meals on Wheels of NEPA has continued to provide uninterrupted daily service to our clients with an unwavering commitment to quality and service due largely to the dedication of staff and volunteers, strict adherence to public health protocols and financial support from our wonderful community. Despite the continuing challenges, the kitchen currently prepares 2,000 meals each day for delivery to elderly and disabled residents across the region.

During Mix and Mingle, we will honor NET Credit Union as recipient of our 5th Annual Founders Award for Philanthropy. NET Credit Union, a true community champion, and their employees, donate their time, expertise and generosity to help agencies and organizations throughout our area. Katie Gilmartin, who works tirelessly to promote and serve our community, is the recipient of The 5th Annual Elaine F. Shepard Award for Exceptional Volunteerism.
