2020 VITA Training Sessions - DU

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Training Sessions

VITA needs volunteers to help low-income families, elderly, and members of the Unversity of Denver complete their taxes free of charge. Two positions are available: Administrative Assistant ("Admin") and Tax Preparer. Please only sign up for the position you will be training for.

Admins - required to stay for 1 hour and duties include:

• Checking in clients ad they walk in and informing them of the process
• Providing clients with the correct forms to fill out
• Checking for completeness in forms
• Helping facilitate the process as clients transition from one station to the next

Tax Preparers - required to stay until we have completed the session and duties include:

• Checking identification and forms
• Preparing taxes for clients on TaxSlayer 

Free food will be provided. Please bring your own laptops.
