2020 Race Judicata

Race Judicata is a 5k run/walk to benefit Anchorage Youth Court. Due to concerns around COVID-19, the event has been modified to a virtual race. We encourage participants to safely get outside and run, walk or hike anytime during the allotted time frame. 

Individuals may participate any time between June 7, 2020 - July 7, 2020.

Ticket Information

Cost: $25 individual, $30 with dogs, $35 day of race. Purchase your ticket here by noon on Friday, May 3 to receive the early bird price. Children under 10 may join the race for free but will not receive a race shirt. Children ages 10-17 are $15.

Please specify a t-shirt size when ordering. 

Sizes and quantities are limited; please register ASAP to be guaranteed a t-shirt in your size.

Bib and T-Shirt Pickup

• Early bib pickup will take place Friday, May 3rd, from 4:00pm-6:00pm, outside of Skinny Raven's downtown location.

• It helps us out if you pick up your bib on Friday rather than on Sunday! As an incentive, you will be more likely to get the t-shirt size of your choice the earlier you check in.

• If you would like to print out the waiver ahead of time and bring it to bib pickup, click this link.  (You will need to sign a waiver or bring a signed waiver for each bib and t-shirt.)

• If you cannot make the Friday bib pickup, please try to arrive early on race day to pick up your bib. We have listed the official start time at 9:30am, but volunteers will be there starting at 9am -- if you arrive earlier than 9:30am, someone will be able to check you in.

Rules of the road, etiquette, and safety:

• The race will start at 10:00am unless there is a moose on the trail. If you see a moose or other large animal on the trail, please keep your distance and alert a volunteer.

• At the starting line, choose your place according to your speed: faster/competitive runners at the front, walkers at the back.

• In case of a medical emergency requiring professional attention, have someone dial 911, and alert a volunteer.

• Please use the port-a-potties at the Lagoon if need be; Lagoon residents appreciate you not using the woods around the trail for this purpose.

Timing, goodies, and prizes:

• The race will be timed; times for all runners will be posted the week following the race on Anchorage Youth Court's website.

• The top three men's and women's finishers, as well as the top dog, will get prizes. Past prizes have included gift certificates from Anchorage Yoga, Noura Aesthetics, the Alaska Rock Gym, Moose's Tooth, and Snow City.

• We will have race-day treats for all participants!
