2020 Midwest Alpine Open Ski Race

Who can participate?

All adult ski racers from surrounding Midwest ski resorts welcome! This will be a fun challenge race for people new to racing and for seasoned racers as well. We are looking forward to seeing competitors from IA, IL, MN, MI, and WI. The course will be set with alpine gates and set for Nastar distances. Snowboarders are welcome to race as well.

What is the format?

• 2 GS Races - reset after each race
• 2 runs each race
• All 4 run handicaps will be totalled. The male and female winners will have the lowest overall handicaps.
• There will also be male and female winners for the highest total Nastar points for all 4 runs.
• Individual winners will receive an etched beverage glass.
• To have more winners, racers can win the lowest handicap or the Nastar points award. Not both.
• There will be a team trophy for the resort with the top 3 overall resort racers.

Cost?

$30.00. This covers both races.

Times?

• Onsite Registration @ Noon


• Inspection @ 1:30 PM


• Race starts @ 2:00 PM


• Awards to follow 1 hour after the racing is complete.
