2020 Facilitator Training and Orientation at the Hive

We need you!

What: After four years of iterative development we are turning a new page in Hive facilitator equipping and expectations. You are the ambassadors for the Hive’s work and to reflect the value of this role we have built a model for training that gets us all on the same page. We are taking the opportunity of a new year to bring our facilitator orientation process into greater alignment with our overall goals and ideals. We are excited to be launching an expanded facilitator development journey to achieve this goal. As a result of this expansion we will be requiring ALL of our active facilitators to be part of the initial offering within the first three months of 2020.

Why: The Hive is a one-of-a-kind place. A place where we choose to swim upstream, against the current of dominant culture norms, because we know that we and our communities are better for it. The unique way we facilitate in common, and the diverse whys and hows are worth accenting. This facilitated professional development opportunity will help us all refine our shared approaches and learn from our diverse modalities and backgrounds.

All facilitators, new or long term to the Hive, are asked to participate in one of these 2 hour experience to teach in the future. There will then be similar offerings on the quarter for other facilitators. Please be in touch with which session you can make. You’re showing up will help shape the future of our work together!

When:

January 5, Sunday, 2 -4 pm

February 17, Monday, 7-9 pm

March 14, Saturday, 10am - noon

Who: Kate McCracken and Geralyn have been designing this program in partnership with our Core Facilitators and staff for several months. Kate has over 15 years of professional facilitation experience in corporate, nonprofit, and community settings. Kate has a deep passion for helping individuals discover their inner facilitator and building their voice.
