Jason Suslavich, National Security Advisor to U.S. Senator Dan Sullivan (Alaska)
PRESENT AND FUTURE OF THE ARCTIC
Jason Suslavich is the National Security Advisor to U.S. Senator Dan Sullivan (Alaska). Mr. Suslavich joined Senator Sullivan’s staff in February 2015 and manages the Senator’s Senate Armed Services Committee assignment, including the Senator’s current chairmanship of the Subcommittee of Readiness and Management Support. Senator Sullivan is also a member of the Commerce Committee – chairing the Subcommittee on Oceans, Atmosphere, Fisheries, & Coast Guard – the Environment and Public Works Committee, and the Veterans Affairs Committee
Mr. Suslavich has worked on Capitol Hill since 2005 for Members including the current Dean of the U.S. House of Representatives, Congressman Don Young (AK-ATL), the former Speaker of the House, Speaker J. Dennis Hastert, and the current Chief Deputy Whip, Congressman Patrick McHenry (NC-10). His primary areas of focus are the Indo-Pacific, the Arctic, missile defense, and the reemergence of great-power competition.
Mr. Suslavich has a B.A. in International Studies from Johns Hopkins University and is a current student in the Naval War College's Master’s Program.
