CU Real Estate Center presents its 23rd Annual Real Estate Forum at the Mile High Station, Denver on February 27th 2020.

CU Real Estate Center presents its 23rd Annual Real Estate Forum at the Mile High Station, Denver on February 27th 2020. This year’s theme is centered around the growing sector of real estate and technology. Forum attendees can qualify for three hours of Continuing Education Units (CEU) and a breakfast and 'grab and go' lunch are provided.

Registration fees include access to an exclusive industry networking event with forum speakers and members of the International Advisory Board on the evening of February 26th at Los Chingones (RiNo) Denver. This is an excellent opportunity to connect with fellow real estate professionals and industry experts as well as members of the CU Real Estate Council.

This event qualifies for 3 Continuing Education Credits.

SESSIONS:

• The Intersection of Entertainment and Real Estate: There is a growing trend of real estate projects driven and anchored by entertainment uses. Our panel of speakers will include Marc Perusse, Director of Acquisitions of Revesco Properties, the developer of the River Mile project, which will be experiential art disruptor Meow Wolf's new Denver home; Patrick Walsh of the McGregor Square development adjacent to Coors Field; and Daniel Aizenman with Stantec, part of the design team for McGregor Square.

• Keynote - A View from Washington: Jeff DeBoer, President & CEO of the Real Estate Roundtable will provide a look inside the beltway, discussing the anticipated impact of political trends and the upcoming elections on the real estate industry.

• Fireside Chat: Jeff DeBoer and Ric Clarke, Senior Managing Partner & Chairman, Brookfield Property Group, Brookfield Property Partners and Brookfield Property REIT will examine the future of global real estate.

• Focus on Multi-Family: Doug Bibby, President of the National Multi-Family Housing Council (NMHC), will provide a state of the industry view of national multi-family trends and issues. He will then moderate a panel of local and national multi-family players. The Panelists will include developers, owners and operators, including David Kim CEO, Bascom Group and Scott Johnson Division President, LMC.

• The iBuying Revolution: iBuying companies, who purchase homes based on market data without inspections or brokers, are increasing their market share. Mike del Prete, Scholar in Residence and nationally recognized iBuyer expert and Real Estate Tech Strategist, will give us his insights on this growing trend.

• The Economic Crystal Ball: Brian Lewandowski, is Executive Director of the Business Research Division at the Leeds School of Business, University of Colorado Boulder. Brian provides regional business and economic information and education, including economic and revenue forecasts, policy studies, economic impact analyses, and data workshops. Brian has 14 years’ experience conducting economic studies at CU Boulder. Prior to CU, he worked in both the private sector and government. He is past-president of the Denver Association of Business Economists.
