2019 Father's Day 5K & 10K - Rochester

*THIS IS A VIRTUAL RACE! Join us for our sixth annual Father’s Day 5K & 10K virtual race! Father’s Day is June 16, 2019! It’s time to celebrate your father the HERO! We will also be donating at least 15% of each registration to Team Hoyt, which works to build the individual character, confidence and self-esteem of America’s disabled and physically challenged young people through inclusion in all facets of daily life. In the spring of 1977, Rick Hoyt told his father, Dick Hoyt, that he wanted to participate in a 5-mile benefit run for a lacrosse player who had been paralyzed in an accident. Far from being a long-distance runner, Dick agreed to push Rick in his wheelchair and they finished all 5 miles, coming in next to last. That night, Rick told his father, “Dad, when I’m running, it feels like I’m not handicapped.” *For a limited time purchase your official t-shirt and/or hoodie HERE. What: This is a 5K and 10K virtual run (or walk) to celebrate the awesome Dads out there! You choose which distance you want to complete. When: Complete your race any time in June 2019. Even better if it’s on Father’s Day, which is June 16th!  Where:  You choose the course and you time yourself (you’ll report your finishing time to us). Why:  Because this is our way of celebrating Father’s Day and to help raise funds for an amazing organization: Team Hoyt Cost:  The price is $20 and that includes your medal, bib and shipping. WHAT IS A VIRTUAL RACE? A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose.
