Data Visualization Workshop - Sponsored by Centare
As businesses look to the digital future, data science techniques are increasingly being used to derive real value from data. Custom tailored data visualizations, along with advanced analytics and machine learning models, are used to communicate valuable insights and assign meaning and context to data that would otherwise be locked up in a spreadsheet or database.
In this hands-on workshop, you will be sourcing, preparing, analyzing, visualizing a real dataset using Jupyter Notebook running on the AWS SageMaker platform. The Jupyter Notebook is an open-source web application that allows you to create and share documents that contain live code, equations, visualizations and narrative text, and has become the de facto platform used by data scientists to build interactive applications. Amazon SageMaker is a fully managed end-to-end data science service that enables data scientists, developers, and machine learning experts to prepare, analyze, and visualize data.
The workshop will benefit developers and technically-focused managers who wish to gain insight into the fundamentals of data science. Each participant should bring a laptop computer to the workshop. Wi-Fi connectivity and a current browser are needed. For optimal performance, Chrome or Firefox are recommended.
