"ADHD - A Coat of Many Colors"

This year we are excited to be offering 8 different breakout sessions that will be focusing on various topics regarding ADHD and mental health!

Knowing is better! That’s why ADHD Awareness Month is celebrated every October, with events and activities around the world. This year, CHADD Chapters are joining forces to present a Resource Fair for the benefit of ALL families in Virginia, District of Columbia, and Maryland.  We are especially pleased that local Chapters of NAMI - the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental health and co-occurring conditions - are co-hosting the 2019 ADHD Awareness Month event with CHADD.

This year’s collaboration between CHADD and NAMI is significant. CHADD is a national non-profit, tax-exempt [Section 501(c) (3)] organization providing education, advocacy and support for individuals with ADHD. Its mission is to ‘improve the lives of people affected by ADHD’. This includes not only providing support relating to the challenges of ADHD, but also acknowledging that more than two-thirds of people with ADHD have at least one other co-occurring condition. NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental health conditions. A national non-profit, tax-exempt, registered 501(c) (3) organization, NAMI’s mission is to serve the 1 in 5 people who will live with a mental health condition during their lifetime through education, support and advocacy.

Just as untreated ADHD can present challenges in everyday life, other disorders can also cause unnecessary suffering in individuals with ADHD and their families if left untreated. Individuals living with ADHD, mental health conditions and co-occurring conditions can move toward wellness with effective treatment, understanding and support.

Our goal is to provide attendees with the information to assist in Building a System of Support – one that will meet their personal, individual needs.

REGISTRATION NOW OPEN FOR EXHIBITORS and SPONSORS.
