Join us for the 26th Annual North Carolina Hazardous Waste Compliance Workshop co-sponsored by the North Carolina Manufacturers Alliance (NCMA) and the North Carolina Division of Waste Management (DWM). Workshop #2 will be held in Greensboro, NC on Thursday, May 10, 2018.

About this Workshop
Generators of hazardous waste are required to train their employees involved with hazardous waste management.
The regulations require facility personnel to complete classroom or on-the-job training to become familiar with proper hazardous waste management and emergency procedures for the wastes handled at the facility. In addition facility personnel must take part in an annual review of their initial training.
Now you can learn first-hand what the regulators from the North Carolina Division of Waste Management expect from hazardous waste generators and treatment, storage and disposal facilities.
The Workshop is designed for facility personnel with hazardous waste duties ranging from facility environmental coordinators to on-site hazardous waste handlers.
Attendees will go through a full-scale inspection presented by the hazardous waste field staff. You will learn what inspectors look for at your facility. Hazardous waste regulations will be discussed focusing on interpretation of these regulations as they apply to your business. Waste minimization and enforcement will be reviewed.
There will be plenty of time for questions during each presentation as well as during breaks and lunch. Attendees with specific questions prior to the workshop can also submit those questions to NCMA. NCMA will then provide the questions to DWM staff anonymously so that they can address the questions during the Workshop.

Lunch and Material
The registration fee includes a Workshop Manual containing copies of all presentations and supporting material. A hot buffet lunch and refreshments during the breaks are also included.

The Workshop will be presented by the staff of the Hazardous Waste Section of the North Carolina Division of Waste Management.
