We need your help: Our church is suffering through severe financial troubles. Our doors will close if we cannot raise $600,000 within the next three years. We look to God’s faithful provision for the future so that the church’s finances are as vibrant as its ministries.

Your support for the revitalization of the Armenian Evangelical Church of New York City is essential for our church to continue being a vital resource of God’s word for our diverse and cosmopolitan congregation. All proceeds will go towards AECNYC's mission to spread the message of the gospel amongst our New York City brothers and sisters in Christ.

OUR VISION
Our new, dynamic pastor, Rev. Haig Kherlopian, has a multifaceted vision for the revitalization of our church. In a city riddled with loneliness and troubles, Rev. Haig seeks to create a Christian haven where people of all backgrounds can find peace, joy, and community. He strives to create disciples who comfort and teach those hungry for God’s word. We welcome you to become part of our work, carrying out this vision, so that our church can continue to serve as a beacon of light in the heart of the city for those in need of God’s love.

OUR HISTORY
In its early years, the Armenian Evangelical Church of New York became a haven and spiritual center for Armenian Genocide survivors. It helped the refugees resettle in their new country while allowing them to retain their heritage.  Settled in the heart of what was then New York’s “Little Armenia,” the church soon became renowned for the quality of its preaching. Its pastors, including the legendary Rev. A.A. Bedikian, had a preaching style that combined meticulous scholarship with plainspoken biblical faith and missionary zeal. That strong homiletic tradition continues to this day, with the pastorship of Rev. Haig Kherlopian.

TODAY
While there is no longer a “Little Armenia” neighborhood surrounding the Church, AECNY still serves as a magnet for all segments of the Armenian, and larger, communities as well as being the only Armenian Protestant church in New York City.  On any given Sunday, you may find in our pews a member who has attended faithfully for 90 years and more, a young professional who attends both Sunday worship services and weeknight Bible studies, a neighbor who learned about the church through our outreach to the homeless, and a diplomat in New York on assignment to the United Nations.  It is this diverse and cosmopolitan congregation that reminds us of the universality of our Savior’s teachings. Your support is essential for our church to continue being a vital resource of God’s word for our diverse and cosmopolitan congregation.
