Call your girls and clutch those pearls! Shelly Watson’s monthly show “Second Tuesdays at Sid’s” is NYC’s ONLY Variety revue with an ALL singing cast! Each month guest artists serve up their main talent (sideshow, contortion, puppetry, burlesque etc…) and then drop down a side dish of the best hidden vocal treasures in town!

Shelly Watson is an award winning Juilliard alumni with a B. M. and M. M. in opera performance and has sung everywhere from The Metropolitan Opera to The Metropolitan Room. She’s starred as Madame Drosselmeyer in Nutcracker Rouge with Company XIV for the last 4 seasons, won Cabaret Star of the Year Award at Mo Pitkins, has performed solo shows at Avery Fisher Hall, New York State Theater, Cutting Room, Slipper Room, Laurie Beechman Theater, Duane Park, Don’t Tell Mamas, Rainbow Room, Le Poisson Rouge, Minetta Lane Theater, Highline Ballroom and many, many more.
Bernard Holland of the New York Times wrote, “Ms. Watson is a rambunctious, over the top soprano of considerable charm.”, Talk Entertainment said she was “Formidable, can sing any style and range.” And Huffington Post called Shelly; “Fantastic!!”
Chris Johnson is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, vocalist and arranger specializing in Harlem stride and New Orleans piano styles. He is a member of Brooklyn’s premier hot jazz band Red Hook Ramblers and educational rock band The Deedle Deedle Dees. Over the years, he has performed in clubs, concert halls, theaters, synagogues, churches and dives and has played with musical luminaries such as Roy Nathanson and Patti Smith.
