IUD emergency contraception (intrauterine device or IUD)
After unprotected sex, intrauterine copper is an extremely effective method (less than 0.2% of pregnancy, or 2 pregnancies per 1,000 users, regardless of the time of the cycle).

The insertion of a copper IUD makes the uterus unsuitable for implantation of the egg. Between the moment of sexual intercourse and the implantation of an egg, it takes at least five days.

Voluntary termination of pregnancy: the aspiration technique
IVG by aspiration is practiced in France before the end of the twelfth week of pregnancy. That is to say before the end of the fourteenth week of amenorrhea (absence of rules).

The procedure takes place in the hospital under general anesthesia or local anesthesia. In the first case, the woman stays only three hours in the hospital. In the second case, it is necessary to wait four to six hours after waking.
